Maybe they should’ve given our gadget lust a bit of a cool-down period between launch dates? Any of my readers planning on pulling the trigger on either of these new Samsung devices? Anyone out there planning on picking them both up? Now they have built the software into a handy $60 gadget erroneously called the iWow 3D Adapter (it has nothing to do with visual 3D, only audio). The iWow adapter plus into any Apple gadgets using Apple’s 30-pin adapter. She has little patience for poorly designed user experiences, and is not afraid of opening the guts of her own machines for repair or hacking her gadgets for new uses. Samsung has implemented a new team of programmers to develop African suited applications for the Android market place. Samsung South Africa is responding to market trends and demands by implementing a new team structure to address the growing need.
Toshiba has announced its foray into the fast-growing tablet market with its latest gadget called Thrive. The Japanese electronics maker has priced its entry level model at $429 (£262), which is cheaper than the base model of Apple’s iPad2. The company said its base model comes with wi-fi ability and is targeted at consumers who use tablets at home. The tablet will go on sale in the US on 10 July.
